Scope and Content Symbol stone known as Inverurie 4 at Inverurie, Aberdeenshire This symbol stone is at Inverurie. In was found built into the walls of a churchyard along with three other symbol stones. All four are now in the cemetery at the Bass of Inverurie. They are to along to the left of the gate. This is a view of the stone. It is an irregular slab and had one symbol carved on it. This is a horse, decorated with fine scroll-work to show the muscles. This is the only example of the horse as a Pictish Symbol. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
