Scope and Content Cross-slab at Monymusk, Aberdeenshire This cross-slab was found about 1800 in a field near the river at Monymusk. It was erected nearby and by 1903 had been moved to Monymusk Castle (now House of Monymusk) where it was built into the billiard-room. It is now display in the local church. This is a view of the stone. At the top is an equal-armed cross, which is carved in low relief. Below this are two Pictish symbols - a step and a triple-disc. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
