Description Skye, Carbost, Talisker Distillery, interior. Still House: view from North of the two wash stills (each steam-heated, and 14706 litres). Note the charge receiver tank (right), made by Abercrombie of Alloa in 1962. These and similar tanks in the distillery are being replaced by stainless steel tanks, the example to left having moulded fibreglass panels to simulate the original iron-cast tanks.
