Scope and Content Measurements were taken from a 1910 image of Auchenharvie Pumping Engine House or features (two square apertures in the west elevation) that have since been lost and extrapolated onto a modern scale plan. These measurements were then used to compare with known measurements of early Newcomen Beam Engine support structures. See HES digital file WP007265 for more details.
