Scope and Content Lost Art workshop, Dan Lea explaining process of renovation Ross Fountain, Waverley Gardens, Edinburgh Main statue - highest point waterfeature of main statue Cornucopia - Same process as with arm repairs hand carving on mould. Void filled in arm with wadding material, overlaid with plastic, filler, sanded and carved to produce a mould with plastic as backing. Wadding removed, new piece cast using mould. Braised to make sure the repairs as really strong and putting detail back into the casting. Clean burning flame to melt the brass.This new piece was then inlaid, braised to attach all edges to main casting before being repaired and polished.
