Scope and Content Finzean Bucket Mill. Mr Stanley Moyes demonstrates smoothed bucket , shaped top and bottom and the groove for the bucket base to fit into. the bases for the bucket are made on this machine. Out of the pine wood, cut bigger pieces (discs). These are put into a lathe The base is then shaped by hand using a gouge. Thes will be fitted into the bucket and tapped down into place and then tighten up the bands and fit the bands so that they cannot move using 'lug' hooks.
