Scope and Content Interior. Turning Mill. Mr Duncan explains the old fashioned Scotch hearth brushes. Paint made from paint powder, resin and oil boiled up in smithy onto stone slab with water on it and made into pancakes and held againt the groove in the heads bit of cork to buff up the line for a perfect sheen. The handle was a screw in handle fitted. Also described, fish cleaning brush. Mr David Duncan, owner. Born 1928. All working life spent at the Turning Mill (apart from a spell in the army).
