Scope and Content Milnholm Hatchery. Mr Ian Semple, brown trout manager, explains month old egg development, incubated at 7 degrees centigrade. The eyes of the embryo are visible (known as 'the eyed stage') as the eggs are now half way through incubation. These eggs are viable and can se sent to a customer. In the past these were packed in spagnum moss in wooden cases for shipping to customers worldwide. Now polystyrene boxes and crushed ice are used for packing.
