Scope and Content Also known as the Council for British Archaeology Working Party on Archaeological Records, the Committee reported following a meeting in London in January 1974. The committee's Role was to ' survey existing archaeological records at regional and county level and make recommendations designed to achieve the maximum compatibility and standardization of data recording in such records, with the object of their integration, in whole or part, into a central or national system.' A copy of the Report itself is included. It includes agrrement on the creation of a National Non-Intensive Record and the Ordnance Survey Archaeological Division's roler within this. Some material also covers OS's production of historical maps, something mentioned in the report.
