Scope and Content Notebook containing notes on Chinease pottery and porcelain arranged under dynasties (no reference to source). Partial list of artefacts found during excavations on Traprain Law 1914-1821, with sketches of artefacts. Grouped under jet, bronze spearheads, dress pins, playing pieces. Also a few notes on his excavation of a cairn, possibly a corn-drying kiln at Knockreoch on 18 June 1928, on fieldwork at King's Cairn on 20 June 1928 and at Mote of Dalry on 21 June 1928, with sketch. Interleaved is a British Museum postcard MS 33/6/1, from C H Read with a sketch of a fibula and notes on it.
