Scope and Content Grey-green hard-backed album containing 2 grey card pages bound in with a black cord. The front cover has a black and gold border pattern and inside the back cover a label gives the number 0927C724, Amatoralbum from Melins. The pages are filled with amateur black/white photographs of people and various houses, probably recording visits, with most taken at Luffness Mill. They are dated between 1909 and 1942. Houses depicted include Archiestown 1909; a group at Whiteholm, Gullane 1910; Brodick, Arran (Strathwillan) 1914; Craigroyston, Gullane 1915; Purvisholm, Gullane, 1919; Gray Walls, Crieff 1922; Vogrie Dower House 1925; Dalnaskill House, Broughton 1925; Luffness Mill 1927-; Marchbank 1928; Edmonston 1929; Bankhead, Biggar 1937; Houndwood, Reston (Mr Menzies) 1938; Westwood, Longniddry 1938 and others. there are also photographs of the Cromwell Aviation Company, Brighton bi-plane "JM going up!"; an extension to a house at 305 Glossop Road, Sheffield and "Second cousin Fergie Stoddart and his bride, Malta, September 1941."
