Scope and Content Cairn at Pole Hill, Perth and Kinross This cairn is situated on the summit of Pole Hill. It comprises at least three distinct phases of construction and has an Ordnance Survey triangulation point built on top of it. This is an aerial view of the site. The three construction phases are represented by the three distinct tiers which form the cairn, the uppermost one being 7m in diameter. Each tier is separated by a berm. A stone on the south arc of the upper tier may represent the remains of a kerb. At the base of the cairn on the south-east there is what may be a roughly square platform measuring about 2.8m across. It also appears to have a kerb. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
