Scope and Content Temporary camp at Dornock, Perth and Kinross This Roman temporary camp is at Dornock. It stands within the loop of a river. The NW side of the fort has unfortunately been destroyed due to river erosion. This is an aerial view of the site. The SE and SW sides of the camp can be seen as cropmarks. A section of the NE side can also be seen, though the NW side has been destroyed due to river erosion. The site was discovered through aerial photography in 1962. So far, only trial excavations have taken place. These confirmed the existence of a V-shaped ditch. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
