Scope and Content Possible henge monument at Townfoot, Symington, South Lanarkshire The ditch of this possible henge was recorded as a cropmark on oblique aerial photographs. The ditch is shaped like a horseshoe and is broken by a broad entrance causeway on the NW. The ditch of the henge is visible as a dark penannular ring in the centre of this aerial photograph. This possible henge has been ploughed flat and lies in the middle of an arable field to the NW of the River Clyde. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
