Scope and Content Late 19th century view of Cardy Net Manufactory at Lower Largo, Fife Cardy Net Manufactory was built by David Gillies to plans dated 1867. Though an industrial building, it was built complete with a walled garden and a mansion for the owner. This is what the factory looked like in its heyday. The two roofs on the right of the main block covered a single factory space. The roof on the left of the main block covered a workshop with a forge, and an office and warehouse.
