Scope and Content Pen and wash sketches with measurements and annotations on page 3 in sketchbook by George Petrie. Annotated plans and section of two-storey cist at Newbigging and cover slab of 'south grave', ie southern part of empty upper cist (Inv no 434) titled: ‘Plans of Graves discovered and opened at Newbigging in St Ola 1855. Examined and measured by Geo. Petrie’. Section of cist discovered in 1859 with crouched skeleton at Towerhill, with text description (Inv no 432) and titled: ‘Ancient Grave on the farm of Towerhill, St Ola’.
