Scope and Content This report documents the excavation and recovery of a prehistoric logboat from the inter-tidal zone of the Tay Estuary in July and August 2006. In addition it provides a summary of the discovery of the vessel and previous work carried out on the site; details the methodology and results of the excavation and recovery; gives an initial description of the vessel as uncovered during cleaning work in preparation for conservation; and outlines ongoing and planned recording and conservation work and plans for future study, publication, display and interpretation. The project was funded by Perth and Kinross Heritage Trust and Historic Scotland, with additional contributions from the National Museums of Scotland and Perth Museum and Art Gallery.
