Scope and Content Temporary camps at Millside Wood, Ulston Moor, Scottish Borders These two Roman temporary camps are at Millside Wood, Ulston Moor. Both lie close to the Roman road known as Dere Street. There may have been several phases of occupation on the site. There are no visible remains on the ground. This is an aerial view of the site. The two smaller camps can be seen as cropmarks in the middle of the image. The smaller of the two is built within the other. The larger camp was identified in 1955.
