Scope and Content Finzean Bucket Mill. Mr Stanley Moyes, operator explains his involvement in renovation of the mill back to working order.This included rebuilding the weir, outer cladding of mill replaced. West gable wall slightly modified. The buckets made here were taken to Banchory by cart and thence to Aberdeen by train. Also a kiln room for drying the timber to make the buckets and a building to the east for stabling ponies. The buckets made from Scots Pine. Trees were felled nearby and take to te ramp and then to the blade saw. The Scots Pine logs were cut into sarking sized boards, air dried, then kiln dried prior to being made into buckets in the mill. Sound: sound Colour: colour Running Time: 01:13 mins
