Scope and Content Temporary camp at Eastcote, Scottish Borders This Roman temporary camp is at Eastcote. It stands to the W of Denholm. The camp was first recognised through aerial photography, and there are no traces to be seen on the ground. This is an aerial view of the site showing most of the camp as a cropmark. It has the typical rounded rectangular shape of a Roman camp, though part of one side (the W) has been eroded by the river. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
