Scope and Content Ink drawings annotated 'Markings of the smaller & often broken stones of the Pavement in the lobby of the Parish church of Crail. 24 April 1861' , with initials '[unclear] A M'. 'They were all on the smaller flags - varying from 12 to 18 inches by 14 to 20. Sometimes the flag was broken, as if it were a bit of a larger one, & had been in some other situation.' Both drawings are annotated 'Incised', and detailed dimensions are given. 'A M' could possible be Dr Arthur Mitchell. DC 53763/16 is on the same sheet as DC 53763/17-18.
