Scope and Content Notebook titled 'Miscellaneous notes chiefly made in Northern Museums in 1931-1934'. It starts with extracts from 'Tea Table Miscellany', and interleaved is a related couple of verses givn Curle by Sr Hewrbert Maxwell. It continues with 'Memories in my garden' whichseems to be a list of plants in Curle's garden and where they came from. The museums section starts on p15 with the British Museum, Devizes, Hull, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Bergen, A section on Jarlshof pottery pp41-57, followed by an annotated plan of the farmstead at Aslasktonga. An account of the excavation at Wiltrow begins on p61, 1 Aug 1934, and notes on Viking Age artefacts on p66. Jarlshof finds p70, Viking ships p72. Stavanger Museum p76, Oseberg p79, 28 Sept 1934. Broch of Burrian and other Orkney finds p82. More extracts from Sean Ramsay's 'Tea Table Miscellany' p104. Interleaved is a newscutting bout the Iron Age hoard from Carniola in the Alps.
