Scope and Content The field notebook by Kenneth A. Steer contains notes and drawings predominantly of sites in Argyll, mainly Mull, Jura, Tiree and Islay, and includes some sites in the Highlands. The sites recorded are mainly burial grounds, sculpted stone slabs, tombs, effigies and crosses. Amongst others, the sites recorded include: Kilmory Cross, Carsaig cross slab at St. mary's Chapel and sculpted stones and tombs at burial grounds such as Soroby Old parish Church, Kilchoan Old Parish Church, St. Kilda's Episcopal Church, and Pennygowan Chapel.
