Description Photograph of four rubbings. The upper left rubbing shows back detail of a Pictish cross-slab, known as 'St Madoes Cross', containing a horseman, formerly set on a plinth at the entrance to St Madoes parish church (NO12SE 51), now in Perth Museum. The upper right and bottom right rubbings are yet to be identified. The bottom left rubbing shows detail of the left side of a recumbent grave-stone, known as 'Meigle No.26', containing a central swastika formed of four crouched human figures, each clasping the foot of his neighbour, found when the former parish church (NO24SE 33.00) was destroyed in 1869. The upper right rubbing is view of the head of a recumbent grave-stone, known as 'Meigle No.26', containing a beast with a human head pursuing a man who is looking back over his shoulder, found when the former parish church (NO24SE 33.00) was destroyed in 1869. The bottom right rubbing shows detail of the right side of a recumbent grave-stone, known as 'Meigle No.26', containing a square key-pattern No.914, found when the former parish church (NO24SE 33.00) was destroyed in 1869.
