Scope and Content Series of eleven full-size painted drawings of details of carved stones in the burial ground. Cover note reads 'Dr Christison from Sir A Mitchell', but it is not clear from whom the drawings came originally. There is also an extended note by A R Cross, dated 16 June 1956 (MS 28/485), explaining that he has numbered those that relate to William Galloway's paper in PSAS 12, and describing his own visit to the site on 3 October 1953. The fact that slab no 2 is more complete than in Galloway's illustration demonstrates that the drawings were executed after his visit in 1875. The quality of these drawings is poor.
