Scope and Content Mrs Murray will take back to Orkney the three bone implements that Petrie sent to Thomas, which were drawn by Mr Jamieson of Alloa. Thomas' Pictish paper is finished but it will cost 500 pounds to publish because there are about 61 illustrations (Archaeologia 34 (1851), 88-136). Thomas' small son has died.
