Scope and Content Drawing in sketchbook made during a tour of Orkney and Shetland in August 1801, likely by James Skene of Rubislaw. Page 17: view titled 'Mammie's Hole in the Island of Valay. The sketch was taken by moonlight 19 August 1801'. Maamy's Hole is a gloup on the west coast of Vaila at NGR HU 222464, and this view is looking NW out to sea. Black and white chalk on blue paper.
