Scope and Content Letter to Petrie from William Stokes, Merrion Square, Dublin. He is about to go to press with a Memoir of George Petrie, the Irish antiquarian (d. 18 Jan 1866, aged 75), and requests information about the name Petrie, whether it is Celtic or Norse, and about the family in Scotland.
