Scope and Content Letter to Petrie from Jonathan Simpson, a travelling preacher, from Port Rush, Ireland. Visited Petrie last spring, also successful visit to Caithness and south to Aberdeen. Found 'fearful depression in trade in Glasgow arising from the American War'. Hopes for news from Petrie of his island group.
