Scope and Content Titled: 'H.M. Convict Prison - Harbour of Refuge' PHOTOGRAPH ALBUM No.77: PETERHEAD ALBUM The harbour was built by prison labour with the convicts quarrying stone in the quarry and transporting it to the site where they built the breakwaters to form a badly needly harbour on the exposed coast.
