Scope and Content Temporary camp at Muiryfold, Moray This Roman temporary camp is at Muiryfold, Grange. It is on the SE facing slope of Gallow Hill. Nothing remains of the camp on the ground. This is an aerial view of the site. Two long sections of sides of the camp can be seen as cropmarks in the middle of the image. Entrances have been located in the NE and SE sides. In 1972, a dressed stone, 400 mm by 300 mm by 130 mm was ploughed up on the site. This had a 170 mm diameter, flat-bottomed hole cut into one face. The stone is now in Elgin Museum.
