Scope and Content Finzean Bucket Mill. Mr Stanley Moyes demonstrates a smoothed bucket (inside). The outside is now smoothed. It is placed in a chuck (held by friction). A wood turning gouge would trim down the face of the bucket to a smooth finish. Once smoothed and shaped the bucket either side of the truss hoop. The bands for the bucket are now applied. These are made on site to fit each bucket. The bands would be rolled out of the machine and heldd together with a rivet. The bands fitted onto the bucket to hold the buket. the truss hoop is then removed. The rough area under the truss hoop is then smoothed off. The base is grooved to hold the bucket base.
