Scope and Content Undated measured sketch plan of upper level of Hillock of Burroughston broch and section and elevation of broch including well, and detailed elevation of entrance; and fragment of human skull from Broch of Lingro found 15 July 1870, on page 3v in sketchbook by George Petrie. The fragment of skull is captioned: 'Fragment of human skull found at Lingro 15th July 1870, showing the exact outline of eyebrows and the prominence of nasal bones so far as the latter remained. G P'
