Scope and Content Drawing in sketchbook with drawings made during a tour of Orkney and Shetland in August 1801, likely by James Skene of Rubislaw. Wash Page 5: view of the west side of the Earl's Palace, Kirkwall, with a later domestic building attached to the W end of the S wing. A female figure is hanging out washing on a line against the W end of the N wing. Titled: 'Bishops Palace, Earls' Published in 'The history of the Orkney Islands', G Barry 1805, pl9, opp p 228.
